The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transport services while supporting the day-to-day operational needs of Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge. The role entails running company errands, transporting guests, staff, and goods as required, and maintaining assigned vehicles in excellent condition.
The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional customer service, punctuality, and a clean driving record, contributing directly to the efficiency and reputation of the lodge.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for guests, staff, and company visitors.
- Run operational errands including procurement, deliveries, collections, and official documentation.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and well-maintained at all times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes) and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate logbooks for trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle servicing
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and hospitality service standards.
- Assist guests with luggage and offer a professional, customer-focused experience.
- Support other departments with logistics and transport needs during peak operations or special events.
- Ensure vehicle licensing, insurance, and compliance documents are valid and up to date.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements:
- Valid Kenyan driving license with appropriate class for the assigned vehicle(s).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, lodge, or hospitality environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify minor vehicle faults.
- Flexible, punctual, reliable and hardworking team player.
- Good planning skills and the ability to show initiative and positive attitude.
- Well-groomed, presentable appearance and professional conduct.
